"Flip and Fly" on Mondays
We've had a huge backlog in the boys classes and we've moved to fix that with four new offerings on Mondays. John Field, a popular instructor at Lake City, will be at Salmon Bay on Mondays now. Also, Igor Novosselov, an incredible coach, is doing two tumbling classes on Monday nights. Here's the blurb for those:
"Does your son want to flip and fly after watching the winter Olympics? Here's how: Igor Novosselov, one of our top coaches, will lead two new Monday classes for grade school boys this spring -- classes on getting to flipping and flying with the shapes and strength needed to pull off these tricks. The classes are actually the first in a three-season segment which aim to have everyone tumbling big (and safely) in nine months. (Nope, it doesn't happen overnight.)
We'll use the floor, AirTrak, TumblTrak and foam pits plus all our tumbling gear to get a strong workout with skills that can be done at home as well as at the gym. Russian tumbling technique will be emphasized and strength improvement should be apparent when we're done. Plus, we plan to learn from the guys -- we want to learn what parts of tumbling they enjoy and think are cool so we can do more of that!
Boys should be seven and up with or without prior tumbling or gymnastics instruction. There are two classes on Monday night, one at 5:30 and one at 6:45. Best would be 7's and 8 year-olds at the earlier class and 9 and 10's at the 6:45 class, though there is no restriction on enrollment.

On Monday, online enrollment starts and you'll be able to snag a spot in either of these Monday classes from your home.
