Evergreen Rhythmics
Got a dancy girl? Long and flexible? Not so strong? Have we got the sport for you: rhythmic gymnastics.
Rhythmic gymnastics is about 80% dance and 20% acrobatics. Only women do it and they use their costumes, bodies, ropes, hoops, balls, clubs and ribbons to express the music to which their routines are set. Their performances are either individual or group, making for an team experience customized to the child. Here are some pictures to give you the idea. We have, literally, super coaches for you and you can take your classes right here in Columbia City. If you do want to join a team, Evergreen's training facility is about 15 minutes away.

Leaps, turns, balances and demonstrations of flexibility are the hallmark of rhythmic gymnastics. Beginning around age 7, the girls are able to handle the equipment and, of course, the earlier they start their dance training the better their fundamentals and body control.

The leos may be 90% of the fun! In no other sport are the girls so dramatically costumed.
Our Classes
Recreational rhythmic gymnastics is open to any girl. Classes are the best way to explore the sport, a beginner or the athlete who is interested in a non-competitive environment. Gymnasts are guided through stretching, ballet, dance and rhythmic gymnastics body technique incorporating the use of rhythmic gymnastics apparatus - ropes, hoops, balls, ribbons and colorful scarves in harmony with music.
Our recreational program offers physical fitness and fun where basic level skills are taught in a friendly, playful and supportive environment. Classes will be designed for all ages at all ability levels and will be taught by certified coaches. Benefits for girls in their formative years include physical fitness, self-discipline, positive self-esteem, lasting friendships, team skills, fun and a healthy lifestyle that the gymnast will retain for life.
