About Seattle Gymnastics Academy
The SGA Philosophy
Seattle Gymnastics Academy, Inc. is a progressive gymnastics program located throughout Seattle, Washington. We are here to develop strength, skill, and character through gymnastics training. We are committed to providing you the best gymnastics program in the area in a fun and safe gym. We build a foundation of coordination, strength, and responsibility that will help your child succeed in life's endeavors.
Four Facilities in Seattle
SGA has two facilities in the Lake City Seattle area totaling 26,000 square feet. We have a 9,400 square foot space in Ballard/Interbay, and a 20,000 square foot space in Columbia City as well. SGA employs about 90 people teaching, currently, over 2,600 students everything from body control, starting with 12-month old children, to progressive and competitive gymnastics. We also proudly offer The Seattle Preschool in Lake City, a unique morning-or-afternoon program featuring exploratory learning and movement focuses that include gymnastics every day. Our 11:30 AM- 12:30 PM Indoor Playground is a big hit among the city's 1-5 year-olds as well.
Teams
All of our Glade MAGIC classes run on the same schedule year-round. We have three 13-week sessions and one 8-week summer session that roughly parallel the Seattle school schedule. Children may start at any time and pay only pro-rata charges for the session. MAGIC is more structured, more progressive, and more focused than our recreational program at the sister gym on 26th Street (Shiveley Gym). Nearly all the children in MAGIC are preparing to be on a team at some level: Star League (recreational team), the Recreational/Optional team or the Junior Olympic Team. You can register online for MAGIC classes but we recommend an assessment by MAGIC Director Mackenzie McIntyre (206 267 3108).
