Junior Olympic Boys Team
Seattle Gymnastic Academy's Junior Olympic Boys Team program aims to develop Disciplined, Hard Working and Successful gymnasts. Our goal is to provide each boy the opportunity to excel in gymnastics competition and to realize athletic and personal success through his gymnastics training.
SGA Boys team gymnasts train up to 16 hours per week on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday. Workouts range from 2 to 4 hours per day and go year-round.
The Boys Competitive season begins in December and runs through the Junior Olympic Nationals in early May. Competitive gymnasts compete primarily in the Five-State Region (Washington, Oregon, Idaho, Montana, Alaska), and may also attend one yearly travel meet to California or Nevada. The 2012 competition schedule is available on the Boys Team "News and Notes" page.
Seattle Gymnastics Academy’s boys team is available by invitation only. Boys team members are generally recruited from Dynamos and Rockets classes, as well as sometimes from our Novas and Giants classes.
If you are interested in the boys team, call John Shiveley (206)362-7447 x108 for more information.
