Barbara Sweeney

Barb is an actual Puget Sound native who married into the company in 1999 by marrying John Sweeney, our president. Her background is in continuing professional education for the medical sector, a position she occupied at Providence Hospital Systems for many years. When she came to SGA, she took over the registration function and revamped it substantially, starting the long process of upgrading it to its current electronic format. Today, she has turned over the position of Head Registrar to Lisa Nilsen but still serves as "lineback" for the regisration desks at the various gyms. She's especially active during registration periods and the startup of new facilities.

Barb enjoys traveling to all the places she's heard about all her life,now that she has the time to go, and she is an avid reader of the wide variety of books her book club picks.
