Maria Forbush
Maria started taking gymnastics classes at the age of two to help keep her off the furniture at home! She started competing when she was 6 years old and was taught by a variety of very talented coaches from many different gyms. Maria's favorite events were the Balance Beam and Vault. She also participated in Rhythmic Gymnastics for a short time, while waiting for an injury to heal, which strengthened her dance background. Some of her gymnastics career highlights were winning state, regionals and qualifying for nationals. She competed for 10 years until an injury prevented her from continuing, at which time she began coaching.
Maria's number one goal as a coach is to share her passion for gymnastics and help her students become the best gymnasts they can be. She loves getting to work with kids and feels blessed to watch them grow up as individuals and gymnasts. She enjoys her kids excel and learn new skills. She especially enjoys coaching the Floor Exercise because perfecting the skills they learn there is so important to success on the other events. Maria's coaching style is high energy, positive, encouraging and highly structured. She hopes that everyone leaves her class each day feeling like they were a success and most importantly had a blast!
