During her junior and senior years, Misa was the captain of the gymnastics team as well as a cheerleader for the school. Misa enjoys working with a variety of age groups at SGA. She appreciates the challenge of adjusting her teaching approach towards very young classes to the more advanced recreational classes. Misa understands that each level has their own strength and weaknesses and works on assisting her students gain confidence as they learn both body awareness and new skills.
Misa especially enjoys coaching the Balance Beam and Vault. She appreciates that there is a lot to work on at both events and a variety of activities to practice. Misa is a hard worker, creating a fun, safe and energizing atmosphere for her students to learn in. Having grown up in our gymnastics program, Misa has a strong understanding of our philosophy of instruction and how the gymnasts should progress through the levels.
