Sarah attended gymnastics classes for 4 years in the Olympia area. After 4 years of recreational gymnastics, Sarah competed for 4 years. Her best event was vault, but her favorite was always competing on the floor exercise.

As a senior in high school, Sarah coached kids ages 2-10 and supervised both birthday parties, and the open gym at Gymnastics Elite. She also coached at the non-profit in Oregon called KidSpirit for 4 years while attending college. Sarah taught a variety of classes; from the two-year-old class to the Boy's tumbling class geared to kids up to 18 years old. For her last two years in Oregon, Sarah supervised the entire gymnastics program at KidSpirit.

Sarah enjoys working with all ages, but her favorite age group to teach are the 4-5 year olds, because they are so fearless and willing to try new things. When teaching a new skill, Sarah is a visual teacher. She models how to do a skill before she asks them to try it. She like to teach the Floor Exercise, because of the ability to incorporate almost5 any event into a circuit. There is too much to do that makes working on the floor fun and easy.
